My family and I live in a 2-storey, 25 year-old home that was beginning to show its age. We had our basement developed 10 years ago but had never done any upgrades to the main and upper floors. I had planned to carry out the upgrades in stages – I had already replaced the countertops in the kitchen and had hired NuWay Floor Fashions to replace all my flooring. I also planned to upgrade all the bathrooms and give the walls on both floors a fresh coat of paint. I had interviewed six reputable renovation companies but none of them stood out as the clear choice.
It was during one of my consultations with NuWay that I learned about Steve and his extensive experience in new home construction. He came very highly recommended. I was very impressed with his down-to-earth attitude and willingness to work around my schedule. I already had an idea of what I wanted to do in each bathroom (ensuite, main bath and powder room) and he provided a very reasonable quote based on the materials and fixtures I had in mind. He put me in contact with his suppliers and within a couple of weeks I had selected vanities, mirrors, shower glass, and fixtures.
During the demo stage, Steve discovered some problems with a couple of floor joists dating back to when the house was built. He quickly corrected the issues and kept us on schedule. He also carried out the framing in both showers and built a new wall and doorway to close off the ensuite from the master bedroom. He worked with NuWay to schedule the tile and flooring installation and once the flooring was complete, Steve also replaced the baseboards on both floors. He offered great advice and his trades were top notch and efficient. His work was high-quality and he always made sure the site was kept clean. The project was completed on time and on budget. Most importantly there were no hidden costs. All changes were discussed and agreed upon ahead of time.
I would highly recommend Steve and would definitely make use of his services again for any future renovations.
